The youngest honoree on this year’s Social Impact list happens to be one of the highest funded. BRINC founder Blake Resnick has raised over $27 million from an impressive roster of investors including Index Ventures, Sam Altman, Figma’s Dylan Field and Scale AI’s Alexandr Wang. The Thiel Fellow aims to change the way the police and rescue teams operate during emergencies. And it’s already in use: Hours after the catastrophic apartment collapse in Surfside Florida, Resnick hand-delivered his lidar-equipped reconnaissance drone that was used to assess stability in areas too dangerous for engineers.
